Every sixth grader knows this word as part of the name of the fiercest dinosaur, Tyrannosaurus Rex. For whatever reason, the first part of his name is actually Greek: Tyrant Lizard, and his last name Rex is Latin for king. So his name is really Tyrant Lizard King. I guess the person who created the name was a true Classicist. :)
